Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that occurs naturally in sugar cane and pineapples. It has been extensively studied, tested, and reported as safe with no long-term side-effects. Its small molecular weight means it more easily penetrates skin to do what it needs to do.

Glycolic acid invisibly sheds ‘dead' cells from the skin surface to deliver smoother, more radiant skin. It promotes skin cell renewal and cell turnover. It minimises ‘open’ pores and evens skin tone for a more uniform complexion. It also unclogs blocked pores - the principal underlying cause of acne.

Long-term use of glycolic acid in sufficient strength has also been shown on biopsy studies to stimulate collagen formation and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
